I am using Crystal Report Professional Edition - Version 8.5 and I am getting the same problem as above. However, although I have tried to install MDAC 2.7 SP1, it doesn't work. Do you have an alternative solution for that.

Did you try to install the download that is linked above. This is subtly different to SP1 because it reapplies some files that get modified by another install.

If that does not work, I found that the other way to get rid of this problem was to disable multiple processors or hyper-threading on the target machine.

It is not a long term fix, but we allow you to continue operating.

I had the same problem. Installing the MDAC 2.8 worked to.
