Just watching the kick off of Big Brother 6 and I am loving it!! We watched the 13 housemates make their entrances and saw their intro videos.
Nice set, especially the lounge and I love the introduction of the naughty stair, and can't wait for the first naughty housemate.
Where do they get these people?
1. Derek - Tory-boy, active pro-hunt, and gay. I think he'll become a peace-keeper/father figure. Will definately upset the public/papers, but will be popular in the house proving he's not too condecending.
2. Lesley - defines herself through her sexuality, insecure, girly-girl, text book body language checking out the other girls (threatened), will be a source of conflict, gonna clash with derek, clash with Saskia (boob envy)
3. Sam - smart, cute, empowered, waved the sexual liberal flag a little too hard (bogus) (clash with lesley)
4. Maxwell - cockney wideboy, will clash with derek, catchphrase tastic, the tabloid will champion his cause, smoozing the room
5. Vanessa - bitchy, gossip type, will side and form strong alliances
6. Anthony - dancer, big head, v.blokey, boring, desparate for approval from the group
7. Roberto - the Italian, loves himself in a fun way, teacher (will not get Kemal), stabizing/non-confrontational, will organise communal meals, quiet observer (good strategy)
8. Makosi - conceted, dull, adds 'spoilt bitch' for gossips, to give Vanessa someone to bitch about, I think you need to s-p-e-a-k v-e-r-y s-l-o-w-l-y for her to understand
9. Craig - unbelievable, his intro-video was all mouth guarenteed to upset the status quo, will definitely hate Kemal, didn't behave as expected once in the house - very quiet. Quickly formed an alliance with Vanessa
10. Mary - Goth-esque, intense, hippy, alien abductee?, mother-earth type, will start to mother (gossip faction will bitch against her)
11. Science - ? - very personable, the big I am but has humility, reality tangent (will clash with Craig) intrigue by his entrepreneurial side
12. Saskia - glamour, ladette, real
13. Kemal - WTF!!! Raging queen, drama type! Jazz hands, audience reaction says it all... WTF, as camp as christmas
BB's 1st Twist
Its a shame that Mekosi did not understand her secret mission given to her by big brother. She has been automatically nominated for eviction. The housemate with the most nominations will be safe. So if she pisses everyone off she will get that safe-spot. She immediately started making friends. I love BB's announcment to the housemates so they loved her more: Mekosi just won you all a party! Smart stuff.
Choice of People
Why no Northern monkeys? Love the choice of no exercise obsessive types (they were boring last year).
Engineering Entertaining Conflict
Nice choice of complementary hetro-males, but conflicting women and gay blokes. More emphasis on complementary/opposite personality types. Good choices BB!
