Today we went for a day out to Morecambe with Ian and Christine.
Its a lovely place to just hang around the seafront and enjoy the sunshine!
A great way to spend a day off work!
Upon arrival, we were immediately greeted by a comedy building (smirk) and a great view of the sea and the Lake District across Morecambe Bay.
Bring Me Sunshine
Morecambe is the home town of the comedian Eric Morecambe, and this larger than life bronze statue celebrates his life! Nice.
Abigail in particular was itching to get in on the photographs!
A friend that can do bronze
As well as Eric's statue, the promenade is adorned with alsorts of bronze features; bird sculptures, starfish, guides to the Lake District's mountains and tonnes of other stuff. It is a real pleasure to walk along and discover all the fun features. I'd say its very likely that someone on the council has a 'friend that can do bronze'.
In Ian's defence, boys will be boys.
Throughout the whole day, Abi was absolutely golden. Clare too.
