What is it?
Wikipedia is an online encyclopedia.

What does Wiki mean?
A Wiki is a website that anyone can make changes to.
"Wiki Wiki" is a Hawaiian term that means quickly.
A wiki allows you to quickly change the contents of a page.

And what's so good about it?

• Anyone can add what they know
• Massive coverage - you name it, its covered. If you know something that's not covered, you can add it!
• Articles are heaviliy moderated and evert effort is made to ensure that they are written with a Neutral Point of View (NPOV) so that articles are true, fair, unbiased, factually accurate and are not skewed by commerce or opinion.
• It is up-to-date. The content is always bang up to date with current affairs.
• It is hyperlinked - you can easily navigate to related topics
• It is non-commercial. This means no adverts for poker! WikiPedia is run as a foundation that aims to cover its costs via donations and sponsorship.
• Its free - whoopeee!
