As this weekend is totally action packed with Dave and Michelle's weekend and Abigail's birthday, last weekend was our last opportunity to get things sorted. Now that Abigail is walking, we want the garden to be a nicer play place, so Clare wanted to put down a lawn, which meant moving the gravel, and a turf roll-out.
Clare, Christine, Ian and myself did the grunt work, with Clare and Christine doing the most of it, and by Sunday tea time, there was green!
Also, on Sunday, it was the Beaverbrook's Blackpool 10k Fun Run.
Last year I didn't take part as we were expecting Abigail, but I have run in previous years. Several people from work ran, and I met mum, Terry and Carl at the South Shore end of the promenade. You can see some encouragement from Mup Mup (my oldest teddy) with Europe's largest disco ball in the background.
At the North Shore end, Clare, Abigail and Christine were waiting for me. I set my all-time personal worst time of 57 minues 30 seconds, but I was happy with that time because it was under an hour.
