This post is a little bit 'after the event', however, here it is.
A couple of Sundays ago, we held a party for Abigail's 1st birthday which was the Friday before. Due to the bad weather, we decided to install and configure a marquee to rain-proof the back garden. So it was a trip to B&Q followed by several hours of assembly. This turned out to be a master stroke because it was a horrible wet and windy day.
Lots of friends and family came, and a big team effort produced a classic birthday buffet including: jelly and ice-cream, cake, triangle sandwiches, animal biscuits, pies, chicken legs and who could forget snacks on sticks.
A great time was had by all, and thanks to everyone for coming and the briliant presents for Abigail.
