Abigail almost 1!These Boots are Made for WalkingDave and Michelle's Wedding Day, 12th May 2006

After my attempts at combining photos to make a panorama by hand, I looked for a better alternative, and I'm pleased to say that I found a much better way! A piece of software called autostitch definately nails this problem.

When you combine the free-ness of taking lots of pictures with a digital camera and the 1-click ease of this software you can have great fun experimenting. Have a go!

First, here's my stitch-by-hand attempt:

And here's what autostitch made of it:

Here's a couple of indoor panorama experiments.

You'll certainly be seeing more of these!

Great! I think I might be having a go with that for the quilt show at St Johns.

Fascinating stuff, dsp! I have only ever made one panorama before - the stick-photos-together-with-tape variety. I'll have to get them out and scan them, then try this utility - it certainly made your harvest scene so much clearer!

Yeah guys, give it a go.
My next trick is to appear in photos many times!

I was looking into this issue yesterday. My Canon has the "Stich Effect" function that helpt you take consequential shoots in order to create the panorama, but I haven't installed the stich effect software (now in one of the boxes)... When I dig it out I'll compare the software too... Noce work by the way!
