Happy Freelander MemoriesA morning in the life of AbigailDave's Stag Do in Dublin, March 2006
With the impending arrival of our second baby, Clare and me have been trying to make the most of weekends with Abigail. So we've been doing all kinds of things; swimming, picnics, going to the beach and other days out. Tomorrow is baby's due date, and Abigail is going to make a terrific big sister.

The Beach at Rossall Point
This was a really bizarre day. The weather was glorious and yet the beach was covered with an eerie mist.
Abigail spent all her time splashing in the water and made friends with a crab and a dog called Oscar.
Here are some older pictures of Abigail at the beach when she was one.

Feeding The Ducks at Guy's Thatched Hamlet
Down by the canal at Guy's Thatched Hamlet is duck territory.
The ducks were hungry and I had forgotten what good fun it is feeding them.

Beacon Fell
Up the hill at Beacon Fell there's lots of trees, plenty of space to run around, a nice view and a curious big stone head.
And you can get a cuppa too. Which is nice.
Now, not a lot of people know that this hill has special properties.
As you can see, the wind goes up your t-shirt and makes you look like a fat-biffer. Honest.

Great stuff! My how Abigail's grown! I know what you mean about filling the time productively, spending time on first-born. Nose get's out of joint at some point when number two arrives. Good preparation! :) Best wishes!

Lovely pics, how grown up Abi looks. I wonder who 'sat' for that sculpture - poor man!

More like who sat ON the man who was posing!!

Hope all is going well!

Hey Tim! Surely it's bad luck to use a grave stone as a cricket wicket!?
Top pictures - The foggy ones look deceptively freezing, or are you just putting on a brave face?
